This week I did some more brainstorming with my mentor and spoke with the Forensic Science Director, Bret Little, about what I wanted to do for my research project. Bret suggested that I choose eight locations on campus and collect three different samples from one place to analyze particle size, color, visual appearance (composition comparison) possible presence of glass or plastic. Then have my mentor choose one of the 8 locations to be my unknown. I’m excited to analyze these under the microscope and see how different they look from the naked eye. When I was taking the Forensic classes here at PC, I was always excited to do the labs because they gave me personal experience in what I want to do professionally.
